Hello and welcome to the Tweeddale Group's website. We are a small Riding for the Disabled group based in the Peebles area in the Scottish Borders. We provide a riding facility for children from a number of schools in our area and also for some young adults. We are a registered charity and are run entirely by volunteers. Our riders all have special needs and benefit from their regular one-hour riding sessions. They are able to take part in this activity with the support of our volunteers, and although progress is sometimes slow achievements are immensely rewarding. RDA aims to provide a quality learning and recreational experience, in a relaxed atmosphere of fun and companionship. It is recognised that regular riding improves balance, concentration, co-ordination, communication, and confidence - to say nothing about the benefits of exercising regularly in the fresh air.
